Another widebody question....

So im not happy with my current widebody setup so i want to redo it.
whast the best way to go i want to tuck
work vs xx rims that are 18 * 13 in the rear and 18 * 11 in the front.

should i just go custom and do sheet metal or should i get a frp overlay? whats teh widest one out there 50 mm orgin...

this i how hte car looks as of now......

thanks guys

what u mean "current widebody setup" i see stock steel

i would go with frp overlays. making custom fenders would be extremely difficult without experience and would probably look like shit. don't do that to such a beautiful kouki!

i believe 50mm is the widest among the popular brands. there might be some crazy jdm shit that i havent' heard of tho...

50mm ones are everywhere and you can get a little more out of them depending on how you install them. There are also 70mm and maybe 80mm as well i kind of forget. But widths are useless without offsets.

wtf are you smoking if you think that's stock steel?

It looks like fender flares molded on.

The rear looks pretty good (minus the molded side skirts), not so much a fan of the fronts. I would just swap out your fronts for some 20mm vented fenders and you'd be golden.

haha this is easy. you go with the 50mm over fenders then you add the flares.

Done and Done

now I want to see progress cause it will look sick!!!

Not to mention you could probably use some camber. but I think it will work with out if you dont want to go through tires every week

What type of coilovers are you workin with??

For an S14 the widest known over fenders are BN Sports Blister. If I recall correctly the fronts are 50mm and the rear are 70mm.

Send a message via AIM to sr20boostn20
you could go all out run a solid rear with a mini tub,

moving the rear suspension to mount twords the center of the car. making wheel tubs.

then you will have a room under there to tuck 18x15s depending on yow short you make the axle

Yeah he is... Those in the pic look like Work Emotions or something of that nature and in the first post he said he wanted to fit some 18x13 VS-XXs.

I vote 50mm fenders with flares on top. Gangster shit.

there csts rims lol. 17*9.5 i forget teh offset.
see thats the thing for me right now im a newb when it coems to suspenison i jsut buy whats seems liek a reptuable name.
alll my arms and stuff are replaced and fully adjustable.
coilovers im rocking tien flex for now i bled my hks hyperflex 2 so im looking for another good set.

as for the new rims im pretty sure im going ot get vs xx since its one of the few rims i can get in canada that are custom built to my specs. i want to go as wide as i can in the rears and the widest they make is 13 inch. so i was thinking of ordering the rims then redoign the widebody to fit the rims but i dont know what off set to get for the rims.
im also thinking of doing sheet metal widebody but labour is goign to tellme to bend over and take it in lol.
so i should be lookign for bn sports rear widebody and for the front i guess ill jsut redo the fender flare.

how wide of a rim do u guys suggest i go in the front?

sorry for my newbness lol
thanks
mikey

Yeah now that I've seen more angles of it I'm not so much a fan of your rear flares either. The car looks too Mustang'ish.

One thing is for certain. It needs to be:

1. Lower. A lot lower.
2. Front wheels are sunken battleships. Either go wider or get some spacers to push them out flush.
3. Unmold your damn side skirts.
4. And camber. Add more camber all around.

Go look at the wheel fitment whore thread. There are plenty of crazy wheel setups in there, you are bound to find some 18x13 rears somewhere in it.
