code 32 help

I have been trying to fix a code 32 (EGR) and have checked all my lines and components, I've cleared the code but the light keeps coming back on,I read in a post somewhere on here about puting a resistor in the egr temp. sensor line, has anyone done this and does it help?
Where exactly do you wire it and what value do you use?
