My wonderful day!!

So I am trying to diagnose a missing problem on my 90 single cam...mostly for smog. I decide to get my injectors rebuilt because I have gone through almost everything else, but that is another story.
I pick up my awsome rebuilt injectors and realy dont have time to install them right away since I am helping with another project. Once I get them installed and get the motor put back together I give it a try. Starts right up no prob. When I walk around to the front I am sprayed by a fine mist of Gas. (FUCK!!) Turn the car off right away.
Pull the rail and injectors I have two upper o-rings that worked there way outta the groove when I put them in the rail. The o-ring seem real loose in the groove so I am thinking that the new seals are wrong.
I head down to the local NAPA to get the right seals, figuring that going back to the injector place will cost more in gas to get there than the seals will cost. Dude at NAPA is way cool pulls out the aftermarket seals to compare them. They are the same...WTF. He checks two different brands they are the same. Ok I must have screwed up.
I install them again being very careful they stay in the groove. Bolt the rail back up, power up...they leak...(Fuck!) Tryed to tighten the rail a little more...stripped the manifold.
Call up Nissan to see if they have the seals...they do. OEM seals are a little bigger and they fit. Heilicoil manifold...Total pain in the ASS!!
Get it all back together...no leaks...Yea! Test drive it...still misses...(FUCK!)

The moral of the story...buy OEM seals in the first place. You really do not want a leak here.

Sorry for the major ramble...It was so fun!

Vasoline helps when replacing injector o-rings.... Petrolium based so it dissolves in gasoline, safe on rubber, etc.

Also helps with teh buttsecks too.

It is funny the car runs fantastic on throttle. Cruzing it has this stupid mis- fire.
I have re-wired my injectors, changed: Plugs, wires, cap, rotor, and O2. I Seafoamed it, both through intake, and in the tank. Double checked ground to the motor. Just finished getting the injectors rebuilt....Three were leaking.
At this point I think that the car will pass Smog...I hope.
