im looking at either neishlinmotors.com right now or projectsilvia.com but are there any others that were good to you? i like how neishlin has pics of the engine you are gonna get on there, i have looked at srswap.com but they dont have any pics and they have a long waiting time. I need my engine as soon as possible

The thing about srswap.com is because they are a really good company they have a good clientel(sp?). I haven't heard of the other places you mention. Just look of all the things that are supposed to come with them on srswap and ask them if their engines come with all that stuff.

JDM Recycler in El Monte, California (Just east of Los Angeles) is a volume SR swapper/seller/importer, if there ever was one! I get a fair bit of my stuff from them, and am in close contact with David N. They're good people with great service and near unrivalled experience.
Their website, www.jdmrecycler.com, only ever has a fraction of their inventory listed; you have to see their warehouse to believe how much stuff they have!

Dave didn't have THAT much stuff when I went down... but he is definitely a great guy and an excellent businessman. I more than recommend you go with Dave (JDMRecycler) for your SR needs.

I got a nice complete clip from him and lunch, so what can I do besides shill?

He just better hope the damn thing starts this weekend when im done hooking it up...

haha, i wish that i lived in cali like all of these places are (and you people too!) im located in austin, but shipping should be too bad, ive looked at it before and its around $350 from cali. thanks for the places so far, keep em coming if you have em. and if i get more recommendations for one place, ill more than likely buy from them, so just because its already up here doesnt mean dont recommend them!

ive already sent neishlin, projectsilvia, srswap, and jdmrecycler e-mails and im just waiting for a reply now. im lookin at buying it either tomorrow (thur) or friday. damn, im excited

There's Car Tune in Dallas. It's base location is in California, but they opened up a shop in Dallas recently.

ive heard MIXED STUFF on cartune/neilshen.both good installs and BAD ones ..i wont go into detail

i would highly suggest Phase2motortrend. wayne is AWESOME. jdmrecycler, adey suggests him and i know adey so i say ya for JDM, also check out driftfreaq, i think he's got somesort of busienss/contact that does it. driftfreaq knows A LOT about 240sx in general.

CarTune is a good company. Sam is a cool guy and will go out of his way to help you out. If you are just buying an engine, then its cool. Swapping can get hectic as they get a lot of business. Out of Towners beware because you might need to be there longer than expected. (in my case staying at the SLEEZIEST MOTEL EVER!.. right accross the street from car tune in the city of industry.. not exactly the nicest city.)

Cliffnotes: Cartune is a good place. Good guys, one has a temper but ill give him the a break as he was having a high stress weak. Give them your business. If you do, tell them willie finally got you a referal.

i havent heard much about flashoptions.com other than they are cheap? id like to know if anyone has gone there? id try dealing with marco rom www.sr20store.com or with wayne at www.phase2motortrend.com. ALso try Aerodyne.com i believe thats there site, all are reliablitity over price but isnt that whats important. beware of ebay, not a good place to look

i contacted projectsilvia and they said that their next container wont come for another 4 weeks, but i need an engine as soon as possible cuz my car is the only way i can get around (besides rides that arent that dependable) . they also quoted me a shipping price of $1000 (they are in dallas, im in austin) and neishlin gabe me a price less than half of that and they are more than 3x further...
