iirc, led beam patterns wont give you very good lighting on that. the bulbs should disperse out, use normal type bulbs. take out your gauge cluster and look. my extra hud one, the bulbs are easy to change.

led would be a bad choice. yes brighter, but the light wont spread out, just certain areas will be super bright and others just dim

Been there, Done that!

As Dousan says, leds do not spread light properly. It's pretty bright where the bulbs are and dim in the other areas.

What you can also do is install some blue plastic sheets behind the speedo, tach and other gauges and put some xenon bulbs. Looks less colorful, but it's much brighter and it has a uniform light pattern.

[hijacker] This thread is MINE! We got to Beiruit![/highjacker]

When I turn over the ignition it will light in the little window on the cluster, but kinda dimmly. Then if I start the car, it will go completely out. It sort of "fizzles" out, not just blanking out all at once, but almost like a "pixelating" effect, and does not come back on at all, regardless of temp.

It just started doing this all of a sudden out of the blue. Possibly the solders gone bad/cracked?
