i am a newbie to the 240sx scene. all i know is that rear wheel drive and boost sounds wonderful. i found a 240sx in my area that is a hatchback. what are the differences between the different body styles(S13 only), and how many are there? i like the look of the rounded taillights but don't know which models they come on.

the s13 came in lots of fun sizes and styles... observe. in the USA the s13 came as either coupe (silvia) or the hatchback/fastback (180sx). both styles had the pop up head lights, same interior, same motor, etc. etc. BUT in the 89-90 models both the coupe and hatchback had a different bumper that had two slits on the front which looked like pig noses and had the single cam motor and slightly different seats from the newer models. the 91-94 240sx's had the twin cam motor, redesigned seats, and a better looking bumper. ok enough! what you really wanted to know was that the round tail lights you saw on the hatchback came from the JDM 180sx type X from the 96.5? models (not avialable in the USA). you can import them of course and they include the lights, the center piece and a different locking key thingy... you'll know when you see it. ok have fun! <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/notify.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':notify:'>

someone should also probably mention that the KA24DE and KA24E are both naturally aspirated engines... no boost unless you add it yourself.
