well the HUD (heads up display) is like a digital spedo except it shows it on you winshield. i have one and its nice but not worth converting over to digital. reason being that its hard as #### and cost bank. you should just get a aftermarket one. i'll post the site that sells them as soon as i find it

I already have the HUD unit and just would need the gauges. Just need to know roughly how much it would cost to install them?

You need the digital unit/whole cluster from another 240. I think it's a lot of work and when it breaks, it's expensive to fix. I suggest keeping your analogue, honestly...

hehe, I know the feeling. I had a joke going with a friend of mine for a while... he had a 4x writable, and I had a 4x rewritable, but I wanted his cuz it had another light on it. moral of the story being that most people get things based on functionality, but when it comes to geeks (my friend and I specifically) the cooler the gadget (more lights, etc.) the better,

Yeah that is partly true. Reason I want the HUD is it projects speed against the windshield so You don't need to look down at the gauge cluster. My friend has an Altima with the HUD and it is so cool to see the speed right there in sight of the road like that. Concentrate on keepin eyes up then and not around the interior to much.

I'll let you know how much it cost to convert because I just need to finish getting the parts and check with one of the shops in my area

I have seen that Hud in a mag before. But that is not the one. I have my hands ong the OEM HUD. Now I just need to get the guage cluster out of the 240 it came from. Then I am going to one of the area speed shops and have em hook it up.

You don't have to put the HUD windshield in at all. . It'll work without the reflective film, but if you want, it's much much much cheaper to just buy the film and stick it on the inside of the windshield... no need to replace the glass..

www.defi-shop.com has them for sale seperately, at least they did, if you don't wanna deal with Nissan... I bet that g'#### sticker is like 50 bucks haha

The OEM just displays speed, but the Defi set up can display RPM and a can feature a progressive LED stage shift light. It is a good set up, but I remember reading somewhere that the Defi can't work with Nissans because it requires a signal from the ECU, which the Nissans don't feature, or something of that nature. I'm still looking into this however.
