What's the most difficult car you've ever driven?
1947 Plymouth Special. Straight six, 3 on the tree, no power steering, and it weighed an ass-ton. Very complicated to get it to start, had to mess with the choke and throttle and pump the gas 1000 times and crank it forever. It also liked to pop out of gear sometimes.
Post up! =D

USMC MK48 Logistics Vehicle System
![]() I only drove one once. That was enough. Hydraulics kick the back of the back of the cab out to assist with turns. Beats the hell out of you in the front. ![]() I wasn't supposed to be the one driving it anyway, but it still sucked.

i've driven an 18 wheeler and a '00 ford F350 quad cab, long bed, dually 4x4. neither were particularly difficult to drive, given enough room. that's the key though, the ford had almost the same turning radius as the stirling. i even backed the 18 wheeler into a parking loading dock on the first try.
probably the hardest was driving an '07 superduty six pack (same as above minus the dually) through the streets of Seoul. some of those streets are tight for a sedan.

1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Not difficult to drive, more like awkward. I never drove an SUV before at the time...only cars. Felt kinda weird sitting up so high. I've gotten used to it since then.

i drove a mercury sable with four blown shocks and a bad tps, and it made me nauseous.
Other than that i learned to drive stick on a car with a dogbox. We ended up not ever shifting gears though, i just learned to start going, because every time i shifted shit would grind. Now that i think about it, who lets a noob drive on their $3000 or so transmission...haha |

A 1940's unibody/bed truck, 3 on the tree as well. No power steering obviously, and getting it into gear when you have no clue how to drive 3 on the tree is a biatch.

I had to drive a huge city bus for six months to take myself and 20 of my co-workers to work everyday. It was difficult to drive but kind of fun too.
Not too bad. Now there's nothing big that I feel I can't drive. |

when my first car (a 1989 olds cutlass ciera) decided that its transmission was going to slam into every gear, that sucked.....my 1991 lebaron convertable...the passenger door wouldnt stay shut, so i bungee corded it shut....the list goes on.

Haha, that reminds me of when my friend bought a car and then when he took a turn hard the low oil sloshed to the side and the oil pressure dropped to zero, causing the timing chain to jump and the engine to lock up. |

My sisters 2 tone volkswagen vanagon. 2 tone brown and creme. No powersteering constantly breaking down. Had to pop into neutral and rev to keep it started. Doesnt brake. doesnt go fast had to work the key in the ignition to get it to start. Drive that for a summer and you could join the swoll patrol.

My friend's 32 GTR with no power steering, 50/50 AWD and diffs with initial torque so high the car feels like it hops when making a U turn
or my car with a twin plate and a bad master/slave cylinder... Transmission wouldn't go in gear and it's my only car... I had to constantly turn the car off, put it in gear and then start the car only to not be able to get out of first or second gear or I'd just leave the car in third and pray I was on a downhill... |

'65 Mustang with a VERY healthy big block. 4speed. 4 wheel drum brakes (none of which worked very well). No powersteering. Super skinny rear tires. Stiff ass clutch.
Traction was nearly non-existant in this thing, and forget about trying to stop quickly... Fuck that car. It should've had big disk brakes all around and drag radials, but no, people gotta go cheap and do nothing but motor work. lol Secondary to that would either be my old '87 Celica, which shut off constantly, was a bitch to start, and was just overall super unreliable, OR my buddy's '89 Celica AllTrac. Push starting a heavy ass 4wd car with a stiff clutch, and brakes that like to lock up on their own due to a bad brake booster is NOT fun. lol |

Friend's 2000 VW Jetta
Going from my car to the Jetta. Stiff-ass clutch to a sponge feels like I have zero feel in the pedal. I just about bust my foot through the firewall every time I drive the car. The clutch in blown out because my friend rides the clutch FOREVER (goes through a clutch every year). Pedal is super long and takes forever to disengage so my knee is past the steering wheel by the time I've shifted. 90fwhp (?) gets me nowhere. He now wants a Z33. I wish him the best. It's not really a difficult car to drive, I just hate driving it. The most difficult car I've driven was my car in eight inches of snow. I couldn't get out of the driveway...

This yellow Lamborghini.
![]() So impossible to put in gear, or back up in. I've driven many things, including farm tractors, other exotics, and large trucks, but the Murcielago takes the cake for being hard to drive. The 911 turbo is much more user friendly. |
