I'm 16 and new into cars so I really don't understand much about it. Lately my exhaust has been sounding weird, right after my friends stuck some wood up the pipe. So I took it to the store and told them to check it, they said I have some problems with my tailpipe and they need to change the whole muffler. So now I don't think my friends could of caused it since the tailpipe is under the car, well anyways, the stock muffler would cost around $500. So I was just planning on spending it on some better ones instead of stock, any suggestions? I was looking at the Apex'i N1 Dual but I don't know if that'd fix the whole problem and replace all the tailpipes. Please let me know if you have any idea what i'm talking about. Thank you very much for your help.

The n1 dual would DEFINATELY fix your problem. It replaces all the exhaust piping from the cat back. For $500 I'd definately get this. rollhard.com has the best price for the n1 dual that i've seen but maybe if you talk to the nice guys over at boostdynamics they might be willing to work with you on that (only like a $6 diff shipped) I'd rather go with a smaller company anyway, and for some reason it costs more for rollhard to ship it($20 more to be exact)...HRM...why could that be. Pretty common thing, they lower their price on the site to make you buy from them and then they overcharge on shipping to make up for it. So yeah, i'm rambling but I don't like it when ppl do that.

Why did your friends stick wood in your tailpipe???
It may have damage the muffler somehow...is the weird sound kind of a raspy buzzy sound.
Anyway...don't bother with a stock exhaust replacement for $500. You can get an aftermarket piece like tha A'PEXi or 5Zigen for that price and install it yourself. That'll solve your problem.

Don't just get the first product someone tell you to. The n1 is good, but I'm presonally hate the look of it. If you like the stock dual tip mufflers, check out some other brands. I like the GReddy DD dual tip cat back.

What year is you car? The mufflers do tend to rust out on our cars.
