I haven't seen any problems with the FMAX kit on 91-94. I think the problem is if you have a KA24(E). The manifold won't fit I believe. Other then that I think you're fine.

we sell the fmax kit, we are fitting one for the s13. but onlything you need to make is the ic piping and maybe the downpipe.

boosteds14... can you tell me a little more about what your doing with the piping. Fmax does come complete with an ic and piping, is it that you need to fit it differently for a s13 or what? and is the ka24(e) the SOHC? the fmax kit is made for the DOHC only right?

the fmax kit is made for the s14. the piping wont match up. that needs to be custom made. the fmax manifold will only fit the DOHC also. so if you have a SOHC, your out of luck.

Talk to UUNinja about the FMAX kit. The manifold is poorly designed and the wastegate "passage" to the turbo extension...is very "ghetto" for lack of a better word.

Could you explain that more? Is it just that it was made of flexpipe? You know, flex pipe should be used for the wastegate return pipe...since that only really sees exhaust gases under full boost, and therefore is usually at a lower temperature than the rest of the exhaust. It needs that flex to accomodate the expansion.

Is there something else you don't like about it?

well, the passage for one is not SEALED. It is a simple tube that fits into another with plenty of room to leak exhaust. When I saw uuninja's kit I couldn't believe that that is how it goes together.

Well before we get all hot and bothered.

My kit is a prototype, that I got used. So take that as you will. I can't speak for fmax's current kit.

I am going to be installing a second fmax stage 2 on one of our show cars in a few weeks. I will reserve my judgement on the quality of the F-Max kit until I see the fit and finish of that kit.

My complaint. I that the waste gate routes back in to the down pipe way early by way of a swange. One pipe, fitting over a slightly smaller pipe. This type of design leaks when the waste gate is closed. The best seal I have achieved is by way of some exhaust puddy in between the swange. But over time this still leaks. I would have preferred some flexpipe. Or venting to atmosphere.

I can totally understand why they did it that way, it is simple and a swange will never crack due to thermal expansion. I would have gone a different route, but that is just me.

Where can I get this kit at a cheaper price? Seems like everyplace wants about $3800-$3900 for the kit, plus another $600 for the JWT ecu. If that's the case, I'd rather go with the Nsport kit for $3300 + $600 JWT ECU upgrade + $200 SR 370cc injectors.

I'll sell you the one out of my car for 2500 with the JWT ECU.

I am getting kinda bored with the KA-T and want to play around with something else.

Yes the internals are stock. Aside from an exhaust leak where the waste gate and down pipe meet. This is 100% fixable, I realized that you need to seal the swange with some exhaust putty. Simple.

No problems. Drove it daily this summer and I had this car at 2 NASA HPDEs for a total of 4 hours hot lapping, it held up fine. No over heating, no detionation, lots of brake fade (before I swapped to 300zx fronts)

Fuel is supplied by way of 370cc injectors, and a JWT ecu no problems there.

I have a blitz DSBC, not installed. The plan was to put the boost controler, 470cc s15 injectors and a wallbro fuel pump, in this spring. But then I would need a new clutch, and the temptation is as always to run more and more boost. But I am not interested in building the motor. Or I sould say that I am not interested in the price tag of building the motor. I would like to try an RB25 in this car. I think that would be a lot of fun to play with.

all my boys are honda lovers i just want something to take them down with

I have no idea what it would run in the quarter. I have never taken the car to a drag strip.
