CA18 Wiring/ Tranny Q's.
Im trying to find out if a CA18DE Wiring Harness would work on a DET, ofcourse using the DET ECU. Anybody know?
I'm also trying to find out the tranny number on the DET or does anybody have a pic of the back of their DET block so I can match em up n see? (Im tryin to use the ca18et tranny...so poor) If you got one post it or send it to my email please ([email protected]). |

i'm getting my ca18det front clip either this week or the next. i'll look on the block and tranny for the number if you want and let you know. also, why are you using the ca18et tranny? the KA matches up with slight modification, IIRC.

thanks so much man... The KA does huh? I didnt know that... The reason im using the ca18et tranny is cos i dont really have an s13...
I have an s12... 1988 200SX, it came with a SOHC 8 valve ca18et. I'm starting to believe that the KA and ET trannsy are the same...except for the bellhousing. only cos I have a Chiltons for the Stanza/200SX/240SX and it only goes over two types of trannys. I wish they would be more specific. the tranny in my car has an internal linkage, i bet the 240SX does too. On another note, Are there any differences in the mounting points on a CA18DET made in different years? Any other differences internally or otherwise? |
