MAF problem (not responding to plug)

I just bought another MAF just a stock sr20 one
but when i start the car i plug and unplug the MAF plug and it doesnt do anything
nothing happens. The car will turn on and idle, and DRIVE but as soon as im at open throttle the car lags and looses power. BUT the car will still go in boost.

Ive also tested power is going to the maf(black and white wire)

may be altenator..... get that tested asap... my car had a weak altenator and as soon as it hit boost it would just die in power

but what about the MAF its no responding at all when you have the plug in it doesnt do anything and when you have it out it doesnt do anything. also if you rev lightly you will hear it stutter but it has no trouble reving up at all. it will even rev up when the maf is not connected ?!??!?!?!?!?!

check you ecu for codes, NOW! and stop driving it unless it absolutely necessary.
Also is there anything else connected to the ecu? Like S-AFC or speed meter etc.
I'll leave you to it, but it seems like the signal wire for the mafs is not connected to the ecu, you should have a code or two stored. post the results....

DUDE im not sure about this but i look at all the wires for the ecu they all look good and the MAF wires too it was random but i put an extra groud to the MAF wire then WALA i guess it works now. I mean when i unplug it and plut it, it actually does something now the typical thing it does. But i forgot to rev it with out it plugged. ill do that tomorrow and get back here.

OH yeh
so ive been trying to find out wats going on i also pulled my plugs today DAMM straight black. Would this be from the car being in safe mode or something and all the fuel just burnt them? Or is it something else
