engine light, VSS?

well..i check my engine light, and found out it was code 14 - VSS [Vehicle Speed Senor] i guess previous owner pulled the plug on it..

well i replaced the whole VSS [120 bucks] everything works fine, i checked all fuses etc etc..but the light is still on! i am positive it was code 14 becuz i had two different people read it juss to be sure. again, i replaced the whole VSS unit under the car but the light is still lit..i tested the ECU again and it still gave the same code..wats wrong? help!

you need to reset your ecu. It can be done a number of ways. One is disconnect your battery overnite. That should dump the memory capacitnece. Another one is to reset it from the ecu itself. It is outlined in your FSM. They last one would be to just let your car get turned on and off 50 times. Now that you have corrected the code the ecu will reset itself on its own after 50 on off cycles. these will take care of the light being on.

i have tried ur first two ways.

i disconnected the battery already

i tired to reset the ECu it self by taking it out and turning it with a screw driver etc etc..

still no work..still the light is on

sometimes when i do reset the ECU with the screw driver..it turns off..but then when i rev the car..it comes back on! and blinks code 14 super fast.

well when your ecu blinks a code it blinks the first part slow and the second part fast are sure your are reading the proper code? Damn to bad your not here my Diego has a OBDII ecu reader that would tell exactly on a screen.
Anyways , If you have a FSM reread it carefully for code reading just to make sure beyond that I do not know what to say.

yea..im def. sure its code 14 VSS.

im sure becuz..if the VSS isnt plugged in the speedometer wont go up..and thats wat happens..im guessing when it was unplugged the wires down below burned out. that is y i replaced it. it works now..yet still the light is on. im sure i counted correctly. it makes prefect sense. code 14 VSS, the VSS was unplugged. im sure its 14
