Hey. I just joined up here. I love imports and im in to nissans alot. Drifting has lately cought my attention, its freaking awesome. I plan on building my dream car - Sil.Eighty some time, right now i have a new ser spec v (great car).

Welcome to the boards.

Got a Q about the Spec V though... my friend bashes them all the time. Ever had any probs with it mechanically?

mechanicaly it runs just fine. Im 16 and drive it hard so no one else should put as much stress on a car. I just love it. Maybe your friend just doesnt know better. anyway thanks for replying.

heh... well... i've just heard a lot of stories about the QR being a POS. It's not my kind of engine anyways, so I really don't know too much about it. Good luck with it and your sil-eighty goal.

I wouldnt call the motor a pos. It has tons of low-mid range torque for a na 4 cylinder. I was very impressed. If only i had money to buy some bigger cams along with basic power upgrades... But im not worried too much about that. Im happy with leaving it the way it is and not risking drivability on a 2003 car. Im going to be doing tons of grip driving this summer, i cant wait!
