I would atleast run a down pipe, that could possibly raise the engine bay temp and melt the brake master cyl. and cause a fire, not 100% sure on that but not worth the risk, dont be a cheepo get an exhaust, if you want a loud exhaust get a buddyclub spec 2 or something along those lines...

Exactly - engine bay temps will be sky high. Not to mention your feet will get way hot.

Get a downpipe, at least. Then your cabin will get hot.

... then you'll grow up, and run a real exhaust.

if you must have a ridiculously loud exhaust just run a straight pipe all the way back...there are reasons cars have exhausts. trust me even a 3 inch straight pipe to the back is really loud, you will still get the attention of the police if thats what you are aiming for

I can see that one on the news. Lifts off at high rpm, blows a cone of flame from the turbo elbow and sets himself on fire. Or passes out from carbon monoxide getting into the cabin and goes off the road.

Sir, I believe Charlie Darwin has an award for you.

wow this guy is serious. Let me get this straight, your leaving it open from the turbo elbow? No exhaust at all? I dont remember being this stupid when i was 18..Like everyone else said get a dart izumi, buddy club, reinhard or even a straight 3 inch pipe back that an exhaust shop can do and it would still be loud. You can also get the Qtec exhuast valve put into your exhuast system so if you want to be "extra" loud you open up the valve. Id be great if you were driving down the freeway and melted your brake lines or heated up the brake fluid to the point your breaks dont work.

You'll probably get more power by running a full exhaust and wont annoy your neighbors. And get better fuel economy. Dont be an idiot and put an exhaust on. If you really must have an open pipe, get a freaking cut out.

Did you make this thread to make yourself look like an idiot?

1) You start a thread asking if its a bad idea

2) everyone in said thread says its a bad idea and is only detrimental to performance and safety of your car

3) you say your doing it anyways
