Sr oil filter question???

Just went to Nissan and bought two oil filter for my Sr. I told them to get me the one from 1995 se-r (sr20de engine). The guy brought out the filter on the left and i was like that's too small. So he brought out the one on the right and said it's the same thing. Well as for diameter it is the same but not in length. I was wondering if anyone familiar with this? Can i still use the shorter one? He said it hold the same capacity and stuff but too me that odds since it is shorter so iono. Lmk thanks

It's very important to get the right filter, the size is not what usually matters, but rather the thread spec. I've had a wrong filter shoot off my oil block at high rpms due to oil pressure and lost all oil from the motor.

For S13 SR, the oil filter you should use is Nissan 15208-53J00.

Qft, Damn just happen to me today. Drove the car hard and my oil pressure was at zero, scare the shit out of me. This happen right in the middle of a big intersection. Came out popped the hood and heard my motor starve. Turn off the car and check the filter, it was loose as fuck. From now on i'll just listen to y'all advice.

There are a bunch of oil filters that fit the SR. I personally use the K&N HP2009 filter.
