i just got back from jack in the box

i gave the lady the coupon and said i want curly fries, and she said
"this one is expired!!" like people have been trying to use it all day

then i was thinking to myself "fuck i hate it when i don't read the fine print, but i coulda sworn it was good til midnight"

so i said "ohh really"

and she said "yes!! it's good til noon, look"

it said 11:59PM, which by her logic, must be one minute before 12PM

so i was like "11:59 isn't for 10 more hours"

she said "no it's good from midnight this morning til noon today"

and i said "ok 12AM was midnight this morning, then there was 11:59AM, followed by 12PM aka noon, then in 10 more hours it's gonna be 11:59PM and then 12AM aka midnight tonight."

and she was like "durka durka durka!!!" to her coworker, then he yelled something back to her then yelled to someone else "hey we have to take this coupon today! it's not expired til midnight! durka durka!!"

and i was like
"yeah so i want the curly fries and an ultimate cheeseburger!"

and i paid

and they made it

and i left

and now i'm eatin it.
