Question thinking about buying a 240!

Ok i'm thinking about buying this 240 i'm pretty familar with the car , cu my friend has one and i love the fact that it is RWD. it is a 98 SE and i's going for $11,000 with 65,000 miles on it, never been wrecked. I'm really scared to buy a used car because a bad experience with my prior car . The car drivers pretty well and it is bone stock, so don't think its been driven hard. The engine bay is clean and the only thing not right is the cover for the engine fan has been cracked. it was a trade in to the dealer ,they aquired it becasue it was going in for a new starter( i live in a place with fairly mild winters) and while the former owner was getting it repaired he decied to trade it in for a truck. the oter thing is that trunk carpet has been removed and the trunk wall carpet is sorta flappy. So i don't know what that tells me. I would be the third owner. Isthis a good buy and , in general how good is the reliablilty of the car any engine/ tranny/ drivetrain problems??? sorry for making you guys read all that thanks for the help.

Nissan reliability in general is good. But, you will have to look that car over like you would any car. One more thing, just because it doesn't have any engine modifications doesn't mean it hasn't been driven hard. Lord knows how much abuse I've been putting on my car in it's present stock self.

I bought my 97 240 last year for exactly the same price with 61K miles on it, so i don't think it's that much overpriced (unless it's an auto ). The engine/tranny stuff shouldn't be lotsa problem although it'll depend on what condition those parts are in (my engine already broke and i have an impressive 150psi in my cyllinders). But generally if something happens down the road, i'm 95% sure you'll get an answer here since it'd prolly happen to someone before u

in short, it's a good deal if it's in good condition and is a 5-speed.
