SR arp stud snapped wtf!!!

hey fellas one of my arp studs snapped in my block today and was wondering if anyone had a similar problem. i called arp and first thing they said they would ship out a new set but they also told me that cause my studs were older the torque was lower cause the new studs are stronger and require a higher torque.85flbs for older and 105 ft lbs for newer style. i have been using these studs for 3-4 uyears now and this is the sencond time they have been torqued down. arp was really helpful and cool

my next question is the head is off and the stud is down there am i gonna be able to get it out? and how hard is it gonna be? the stud is deep in the block i cant even see it

I know, its weird. I bought mine from frsport like 8 months ago and it said torque to 20,40,60,82 with moly lube. All the people that post up now are like 105.

Why are there always arguements about the tq on these things, each set comes with instructions. Just follow the ones on the paper that comes with your set and you will be fine...I promise.

Take your block to a machine shop, dont want to end up like i did with my exhaust stud, messing up the hold, what ever you do DON'T USE A "EZ-OUT" they will cause you to have a head ache, they always break off, look up exhaust stud or see what topics i have posted and find Exhaust Stud $#!% i beleive is the name, good info on stud extraction there... gl with it bro...
