no, it's actually an extention to the original pipe, but yes, it does go down into the wheel well. You'll have to turn the wheels all the way to the left to be able to get at it from below and pull it down in.

I turned my wheels all the way to the right when I put mine on.
The CAE goes through the hole that leads to the resonator box below the stock airbox. If you've already removed your stock airbox, you should be able to see the hole. Can't miss it. <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'> Remove the plastic inner wheel well fender when you're taking off the resonator box or putting on the CAE. http://danio.nismo.org/cae.html - Take a look at the pictures to see what I'm talking about. Will the intake fit both s13 and s14. Iheard somewhere that they should. Is this true?</td></tr></table><span id='postcolor'> Not the intake, but the cold air extension...let me clear it up: 91-94 has an intake 95-96 has an intake 97-98 has an intake but they all (91-98) use the same cold air extension pipe |

I live in the rainiest city in North America. We've had 100 days of rain in the past 4 months, and the only time water got on my filter was when I accidentally sprayed it with the hose when i was washing the car.

Unless you're planning on running you car throuhg creek beds, you should be fine. If your still worried, AEM makes a CAI bypass filter for your intake tube. If you submerge your filter with water it will grab air from the bypass filter.

my bad on turning the wheels. Actually though there's also an intake for 89-90, just no extension, and it won't suck water up unless it's submerged for a while. It's been tested

Does anyone know of a Supercharger for the ka24e engine? I'm running a 96 pickup, which gives me ample room. I'm curious if the ECU will screw up after I add a supercharger.

Those instructions are really helpful danio.
(the whole picture is worth a thousand words thing...) BTW what did you have problems with when you tried to install the stereo? I just did mine and it took me a long time to get that factory cd player outta there. <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':('> |
