smog device

I keep reading about people gettin their hood popped and then getting a ticket for modified smog device, or no smog device.
What does this smog device look like, because its a very vague description, I want to add these smog devices to my engine bay for looks purpose only,

Maybe EGR?

Charcoal Canister?

IDK. I don't have to worry about it.

Why not? My post had just as much info as yours.

Here's a 5 second google for you. Not all of it pertains to 240's.

They want to see the EGR system & Charcoal Canister.

The pump ive circled also vents to the stock intake. They want to see that hooked up for sure. If you dont have the stock intake box/pipe, the run a hose to a bung on your intake.

The other is the charcoal canister.

The "IDK. I don't have to worry about it" was the part I was referring to.

how can your name be handinpants if your not wearing any? anyway smog devices would be egr, AIV, charcoal canister, and your catalytic converter. you need all those parts to pass smog and you cant "add more"

They see intercooler piping, your fucked. Simple as that.

Its not going to matter if you have EGR, Evap, PAIR, Stock Intake, etc . . . they are looking for ANYTHING out of the ordinary. They see a ZipTie, they are gonna suspect modifications. People are even hassled over cone filters on a stock intake

Only suggestion for you (now) is to run EVERY stock item. SMIC, Heatshields, Fan Shroud, Clutch Fan, Intake, Intake box, etc and then pray. . . or else

even with all that shit, ur still pretty fucked, they do know what motor is suppose to be in the car, and im pretty sure they have color pictures to help them verify at the ref stations, there are also some officers who have binders that have car modification info and what not...
