You'll need s13 output shafts from an LSD-equipped car. Then, just swap differentials, shafts, bolt to the axles and you're done. I don't see it taking more than an hour with a friend.

If you are putting it in an open diff pumpkin, which I assume you are. You'll need the side shaft(s), depending on what you have, you might need one or you might need 2. And since the rear diff covers are different on s14 and s13, you'll most likely need one of this. Other that the shaft(s) and rear cover, I think it's a straight drop in. I can be wrong, so if someone else like to add more or correct me, plz do.

Yikes, lots of misinformation here...

If you have a diff unit outside a carrier (pumpkin)... most likely you'll need a professional install. You can't just drop it into a carrier. It has to be properly shimmed/preloaded. It's a complicated process.

As for parts, you'll need VLSD side shafts... S13 and S14 are identical, as well as J30 '95+... $300 new from the dealer. You'll also need the bearings and shims etc. to install into the carrier. But again, unless you know what you're doing (and if you're asking this question, YOU DON'T) you'll need professional installation, and they'll know what else is required to install a diff into a carrier if you supply them the diff and the side shafts and an S13 carrier.

In the end... it's going to cost a lot. If you already have the side shafts, it might be worth it; otherwise my advice is to sell it and buy a complete pumpkin.

s13 and s14 output shafts can't be different. The s13 axles have a 5-bolt star pattern, and the s14 have a 6-bolt triangle pattern.
