S14 Alternator on S13

sorry if i brang up a old thread but i need to know asap..

will a 97 KA24DE alternator fit on a 89 KA24E?

and would it just bolt up?

i checked autozone and rockauto and the part numbers are diffrent but the main only diffrence is the post. the 89 is on the back of the alty. while the 97 is on the top

halp plz!

Horrible.

Yes, but the charging stud is larger (8mm vs. 6mm) so you'll need to either drill out the ring terminal on the charging lead or replace it with a larger terminal. They're both 80A units though so there's nothing gained aside from getting a working alternator on the car. Everything else plugs in. Make sure to ground the case properly and do not lose the plastic insulator on the charging stud. People do that weekly on here.
