Clutch Install ??'s

I just finished puttin in my clutch and measured around it. It looks about 1mm off to one side, but the fit is fine with the alignment tool. If it is slightly off will it blow up or just wear slightly worse to one side?

What is 1mm off? The pressure plate, disk, flywheel?

Did you leave the alignment tool on when you where mounting the pressure plate? Did you make sure the clutch disk was mounted flush before you tourqed everything to spec? Just need a little insight.

I don't think 1mm would be devistating but not good for the life of the clutch or your crank due to the disk being slightly off balance.

NVM, I had to reset the clutch and flywheel and clutch because I accidently left off the tranny shim.

wait a sec-

the clutch can only hookup to the transmission at a certian point on sandwhiched in between the pressure plate and the flywheel correct? So if thats the case, how can the clutch possibly be off center when it HAS to mate up to the layshaft in the transmission?

The layshaft does not move, and the pressure plate cannot be shimmed laterally. can anyone explain?
