open diff to vlsd
ok well, im going to get my open diff welded on my 89 240sx and trade it to my friend with a 93 240sx hicas automatic with a vlsd, will that fit my car? and will the welded fit his car?

you only have to change axels if its the jdm vlsd and the usdm hicas probably has abs so the drive shaft is different

Axles are the same, driveshaft is not. Since his is auto you can't swap it. You'll also disable his ABS by removing the diff.
