I was wondering if and what turbos i should try to get from a junkyard if i wanted to replace my stock t25? And is this something really worth pursuing at all or should i just try to find another stocker??? thanks for the answers...

There are no junk yard turbos that will fit on the stock manifold that are any good.

Even on a new manifold, your best bet is one of the .60 a/r turboford turbos. Or maybe a truck turbo but most of them are too big on the compressor side.

j spec has a used t-28 for sale right now
stay away from truck turbos they are usually for turbo diesel apps and are not usually good on cars
