Not really any new pictures of the car per se but I did get this hood recently. You can really appreciate how light one of these suckers are after hoisting the stock hood around a bit.

If you make a turbo exhaust manifold out of that thin header tubing...it is not going to last at all. You need something with thicker walls than that for a turbo manifold.

Can you elaborate?

What type of steel are you using for that header?

Just out of curiosity, but how is it an electric "turbo" gets its own "T"? I just figured that since it was electric instead of exhaust driven, it would be more akin to a supercharger. That would make the engine an RB26DETV, wouldn't it? If you do away with the factory twin exhaust turbos for one single turbo, it would make more sense that way. Just my 2 cents...

he's going single turbo rather then twin turbos

nothing uncommon.

Impossible to say.

Once you step into the realm of engine swaps.. everyone's setup is different. Especially something complicated like the RB26DETT.

IIRC the reason there really is no time for an rb26 s14 is cause an rb requires modification to fit in therrre, steering shaft is in the way of the two turbos, so you gotta go single, and god knows what else... im not too familiar w/ the whole ordeal. im going on what ive heard before. plus...if you got the money for an rb26 powerd s14 do you really think that motor is gonna be stock?
i gots a question vielsides14, can you have a twin turbo rb26 in a rhd s14 since the steering shaft is on the other side?

Well, it's correct that you can't run the stock turbos in the stock form. The downpipes of the rear turbo will hit the steering shaft. You might be able to reconfigure the manifolds to get more room for the rear turbo if you wanted to. C-West was able to run an RB26 with stock twins in their S14 because it was RHD. But, stock anything sucks

My car isn't RHD though. We converted my buddy's car (RHDS14) and that's what Dousan is talking about. His car is dope as hell. I opted to stick LHD for now but seeing how beautifully his conversion turned out, I may change my mind

Thanks for the props Dousan. The project have been going on since October. We spend some time here and there on the weekends working at our leisure.

The only way to convert the e-brake over to the other side is to get the console piece and the e-brake bracket and stuff off the JDM clip. Most clips are unfortunately cut before the e-brake and don't include these console pieces either.

But the one positive thing about it being still on the left side is that although it's harder to reach, it isn't so close to your legs either.

wow, and here I was impressed by the home rb20 swap being done on the forums (Well, I'm still impressed by it :P).

Frikkin' awesome man. I'm not a big fan of RHD swapping, but hey, what's my opinion worth?

Oh well, I'mma kick back and wait for somebody to ask "Wait, won't that manifold leak?"
