quick question..how to get rear view mirror off - Zilvia.net Forums | Nissan 240SX (Silvia) and Z (Fairlady) Car Forum

Looking at the fsm the front is just a cover, and the mirror base is held on the headliner by screws. Just need to know how to take cover off with out breaking. Was gonna pry with a screwdriver but didn't come off easy, so figured I'd ask first.

That's how I do it. Just be careful you're prying the right way. Look at it carefully and check the FSM schematics.

Just pull the mirror off at an angle. It's designed to come off in a crash I believe. Theres a little spring type clip. It will pop off.
