![]() The 1992 240sx SE I just bought has the famous for being screwed up HUD.
I have searched and gotten some ideas, but I'm looking for more. When I start the car the digital speedo in the cluster (not the HUD) comes on and says "0 mph" for just about 3 seconds then it fades out. After that, nothing. I have read about the solder joints being bad and having to have them fixed and all, but before I go that route, is there anything else I should check? Once I get the digital speedo in the cluster to work, then I will worry about the HUD. |

Here's a slight update. Last night I turned the car on to roll down a window and of course the digital speed in the cluster came up with "0" and then slowly faded out. After seeing this I turned off the car and turned it back on, when the speedo came on for those few seconds I pushed the HUD button and it came up on my windshield to "0" also.
Does this rule anything out? |
