Hi, I just found a J30 in my local junk yard and I have a few question about it:

1) Does all j30 come with LSD?
2) What year of j30 should I look for?
3) Do I need the output shafts from J30?
4) I heard that there are 2 different gear ratio on the the j30 between 93-97, is it true? and which year I should get?

Thanks,
Patrick

I dont think they all do, I could be wrong, easy way to check though. I bought one from a 95 J-30, I spun the input shaft, where the driveshaft hooks to, both the output shafts spun in the same direction, this is LSD. The output shafts need to have the same bolt pattern as your 240, 3 clusters of 2 bolt holes each. I have a 96 S-14 and it bolted right in with no mods, I have heard that you may have to shorten the driveshaft an inch or so but I didn't. No leaks or problems yet and I have about 350hp.
