Selling a non-op S14

Hey guys, Ive been out of the 240 game for about four years. Life sorta just moved in a different direction.

Now it's time to move on from my S14. Some of you may have seen it before in Norcal (Sac/Bay Area).

Unfortunately it has been changed to non-op status. I tried twice to get it smogged, failed both times. Driven Authority thought they had it, but it failed emissions, and I just couldn't fuck with it anymore. Its been sitting in my garage for the last couple years now.

It will cost me more to rebuild the engine and turn it into a track car or get it running easily than its worth to me, since I now daily a different car.

Has anyone sold a non-op car in California before? Any thing I should know?

I've dumped a shitload of money into it - JDM aero, ground control/koni custom coilovers, multilink everything, s15 diff, rapfix QR, nismo LMGT4 (from dousan!), i don't expect to make much more than a few grand back.

Obviously any seller would need to look at it in person and bring a flatbed to take it with them, but any other thoughts appreciated. Thanks guys.

I'd put it on ebay and hope to sell it to someone out of state.

If there were a 240sx museum, this car belongs in its hallowed halls.

I moved the thread. You make me sad.

What's going on with the smog sheet?

i could probably figure out the smog issue... yea if you want to put some manual labor in it, give us some details and we can help you out. I've seen cars fail smog for DUMB reasons, like mine for example... one collapsed/broken hose on the EGR.

I've acquired probably the crappiest thing once... it was a non-op, lost pinkslip car that was basically just an s13 shell before I got my hands on it. Sitting for years? ouch... yea good luck to you. That'd be a terrible waste of a real nice s14 if you couldn't get it back on the road
