Unhappy My seat broke

yeah, riding through my home town... a loud "pop" sounded as i fell back. something inside my driver's side seat let lose/broke. the seat is at a reclinned position the whole time. so basicly i'm ****ed. i dunno what to do... i sure as hell can't drive sitting up with no back support for more than 30 min. any ideas what broke, or what can fix it? happened to anyone before?

put a stick in the back to hold it up

seriously, just get a new seat. 89/90 seats are JUNK so you can find one easy
or do the s14 seat upgrade.

That seems to be a problem with S13 seats. I'd say find a nice set of S14 seats to replace them with.

There should be a bolt in the left hand back corner that probably broke loose. Only one size fits it. If you can find the bolt go to Ace and get one to match it. If you can't find one , what I did, was to get a skinnier bolt and nut. the bolt should slide right through the 2 holes and come out the back. Put the nut on the other side with a decent sized washer between the nut and the seat. Twist it tight and wala. That's what was wrong with mine anyway. A little bit of African American Engineering goes a long way sometimes. haha. Hope this helps..

oh man, who hasnt been through this situation yet?
(or is about to)
Yeah, I just swapped in a Sparco, cause mine was totally toast. The hole that was supposed to hold in the bolt totally opened up like an virgin gettin tore up for the first time

Same **** happened to me last year. Just swap the passenger seat back to the driver's side. There are four bolts on each...just pull up the cloth to get to them. Should take no more than 30 mins. The seat will be fine after that.

when buying my s13 last year the seat was reclined quite a bit, im 6'3'' so i have to recline it quite a bit any way, i got the car home and noticed it was a milk crate holding the seat up, the left side mount from ass-section to back-section wasnt there

hell, after a 3-hour drive and didnt notice anything funny, you may want to check it out, just throw a crate on the back seat, it works

but than again im ghetto, my town is outnumbered by 4-1 by cows but im holding it down, holla, i need the gangsta recline, you dont know!!!! haha, j/k, but a milk crate works, and no risk of impalement like a stick
