s14 Car Buying Decision Help

Hey all, heres the plan-

I'm looking for a white 97-98 5speed SE. Sadly these are never for sale, only a bunch of white Se Autos and green autos/5speed SEs are for sale. I eventually want to do a SR swap, but I might have to wait a year or two (financial reasons). I really hate auto. My question is whether you think its better to get a white auto and do the swap or buy one of these green 5sp ones and do a total paint job so that I'd have manual. All input welcome. Thanks.

Since you plan on doing an SR Swap, I would get a white auto and get a manual conversion while the SR is getting swap. You will be able to save on labor.

Or if you are shaky on the SR, get the 5 spd green one and hope the color will grow on you. I mean the green is not so bad.

Hmmm, well a decent paint job will cost $1200-2000 and maybe more if you do a total color change

auto to manual swap is will be anywhere from $500-1000 depending on if you do the work or have a shop do it

Go here Auto to 5 speed swap for more info on the swap! Good luck

tranny swaps are alot cheaper than paint jobs, especially since you want to do a swap
