I just swapped in a KA24DE in favor of a KA24E and I had to take out the power steering pump, canister ect.. Is it possible to leave the pump of and drive the car (free up HP) or do I need to get a kit to drive it. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

Yeah there are two ways to drive without power steering. You can simply buy a new belt that goes from crank to waterpump (bypassing power steering) or you can completely remove powersteering (belt required). Maybe a third way is to drain all the fluid out and get the pulley and oem belt there. Regardless i did the second option and i love it. Ive been like this for like 2-3months now and i love it and never going back. I dont even feel like its a burden to not have it, but i do feel REALLY awkward driving vehicles with it now, haha.

Anyways heres the correct belt you are gonna need if you want to do it. Napa (gates), 13/32" (11mm) x 27 3/8" (695mm). It will be a tight fit, but it works perfectly! You will be able to find this at Napa auto parts stores, thats where i found mine but you should be able to find it at any retail place that sells gates belts, 'cause thats what it is.
