power window

My passenger side power window seems like it rolls up slower than before. I know it's old and stuff but is it possible so that it rolls up fast like the 2002 model cars?

Idea

You should check the motor as well as the automatic down on the drivers side. Check the motor on the Passenger side and make sure your getting good power.

Normally, they slow down as the motors age. It's unavoidable. You will most likely have to replace the motors, cleaning them might help a little. But if you plan on cleaning it, when you remove it why don't you take it and get it refurbished at a shop that will do the work. Might be worth checking into.

I am having a problem with my driver side rattling when I drive over bumps in my 96 s14. I think the mounting bolts are just loose. So make sure you tighten it back up real tight when you put it back on.

cleaning it

He is right cleaning it is only going to speed it up for a short while and that might not work, the only other thing that cleaning it would do it maybe help it seing as there is a lot of build up that occurs in the teeth of the motor which drives the window up. But either buy a set of used ones from someone that knows they are working in tip top shape. I got mine from someone on this forum for like 30 bucks. So they can be had for fairly cheap.
