s14 brake booster help please

hey i have a 96 s14, i still have the auto brake booster from when i did the 5 speed conversion, and i think my auto booster is not helping at all, because when im driving my brakes piston on both sides maybe even the back are compressing on its on and making me brake when my foot in not even on the brake pedal and even sometimes when i brake myself it starts to stink like the pads and it catches on fire wtf shit lol, so im sure i need the manual brake booster but i was wondering if i could use the s13 brake booster or do i have to use the s14.... and is the booster my broblem???? and is someone has the manual s14 booster let me know thanks later and get back to me please

drain some of your brake fluid out it may be over full and pushing your brakes cause the fluid has no room to expand hope this helps

ummmm no.... I dont think a plastic container is gonna hold the puressure to compress brake calipers to the point the pads catch fire

Booster has nothing to do with this, The booster is an Assistant to help push the brakes.

Brake calipers are more than likely seizing, replace them

all those calipers equally use that same fluid, so if the fuild is comtaminaded/old and never changed then the calipers will most like all fail at the same time

the booster is an assist, when the booster goes bad you will know it, the pedal will get extreamly stiff. example when the car if off and you pump the pedal it gets really still after 2 pumps, after the 2 pumps that stiffness if what it will feel like when the booster goes bad

pull off the calipers and look to see if the boots are torn and try to compress them, if they dont compress then they are seized, and check the fuild color good fluid will be a clearish gold, if its dark then the fuild needs to be changed

more than likely, I had the same problems

rear calipers seized, replaced them and bled them then my Master cylinder went out, replaced it and never had a problem since

Umm, wow.

If it's just the fronts seizing, the pushrod on the brake pedal needs adjustment. It's too tight and putting pressure on the master cylinder even when the pedal isn't applied. Loosen and readjust it so there's a hair of play in the pedal.

that could be the case if u swapped to a mt size brake pedal and whoever u bought it from might have messed with it accidently
