Removing collers on a coil over?

Is it really safe?

whats your take on it? does it really affect the
quality of the suspension?

If you're planning on slamming the brackets together and maxxing them out, they would both act like collars and won't go anywhere. That's just what it seems to me; I'm no expert. But hey, look on the bright side, your car will be slammed.

the collar that the spring perches on can be tightened directly against the lower mount for maximum lowering.

what i did, aside from other shit to attain lowness was:

i just tightened the spring perch collar to the mounting bracket cylinder so they would act as locking collars (like others said), and then i threaded the collars back up under the mounting bracket.

although not because i was worried about safety or anything funny, but rather so i wouldn't lose them if i were to sell the car to a homosexual individual.

so you could do that.
