s13 sr20 problems

so i have a red top sr20 and i washed the engine bay out the other day and had the maf and intake and coilpacks covered and when im driving the car it revs up to 5000 and then cuts out all power then ill shift and have power up to 5000 again but when im at a stop i can rev it up to 7000 with out any problems and the car runs fine

perhaps explain your issue a little more clearly.

"just cuts out"...like your car shuts off? it stalls? hits a rev limiter? backfires/misses?

the more details you add the easier it might be to identify...saying that you're driving and then the car acts up usually won't help much.
