Zilvia not hacked!

Someone decided to add some bogus entries using the "Add Link" form.

I cleaned up the database to remove the trash entries.

We probably will have to modify the code to force us to review all entries before they get added to the database.

So much for the honor system.

P.S. Do we have any ASP programmers that would be willing to do some simple coding? Please PM me, if interested.

This is the 4th time in a few weeks were going to have to clean these out along with the other random non related sites people like to put in there. Its a shame because now Im going to be forced to take down the add links section and wait to put it back until I can get some sort of verification for the submitted links. Probably some disgruntled kid who got banned from the forums and has nothing better to do then mess up our links section.

If anyone is a ASP coder and has an idea of how to have it do some manual verification please contact me @ [email protected] We have a old ASP script we used on a old site we might be able to use but I dont think it would have a main page where I can accept or deny additions.

Why not just make the add-link button a logged-in email user or forum user ability? Like part of the email layout or something?

Seems like it might be easier, just an idea.
