5 lug hubs...

Im upgrating to 5 lug hubs(D-speed hubs/front) soon ,
Can I use non ABS hubs on my ABS equiped 240sx?

I really would like to loose the ABS completly!

Is it hard to disable ABS ?

This is for a 91'240sx

Thanks!

You can just take the abs fuse out to disable it. To remove it completely you will need to make brake lines or get non-abs brake lines.

I will be doing almost the exact same thing in less than a month so I can let you know how it goes. I am using these hubs:

and s14 se rear hubs. I am planning on using my friends s14 se rotors as a template to redrill my rotors (don't have my z brakes yet). I haven't really decided if I am going to make brake lines or try to find s13 non abs brake lines.

Thanks for the info!

But , can you tell me if I can use non ABS hubs on my ABS 240sx?

I've searched and found a couple of threads that mention some differences on the 2 hubs.

I will probably be getting z32 front calipers , at the same time , would this change anything?

Thanks again!!!

ABS and non-ABS hubs are identical.

Also, as a quick update: J30 hubs will fit onto an S14 spindle, but the bearings aren't as wide, so spacers are needed. a friend of mine is working on the spacers thing, although I'm wondering why not just make a spacer to just bolt a J30 hub onto a S13 spindle and make things even easier (j30 hubs are easy to get... at least around here).

I30 and Maxima rear 5 lug hubs will bolt onto S13 front spindles the only problem is they need 1/2 inch spacers otherwise the offset is to far inwards for the brakes or the wheels,

believe me when I say the swap is not straightforward. those spacers that would be needed would have to be engineered because you have geometry issues. basically you have to space it with throwing off certain sections of the hub. It sounds simple but it would take a engineer who can machine or a machinest with a engineering background to make it work. IMHO
