i believe that my speed sensor is dead. cus my speedo only works for seconds at a time. set off my check engine light. i havent run a diagnostic yet cus i havent been able to get to the shop. but aleast im not putting miles on my odometer. never had a problem like this on any of my cars. where is the speed sensor and how do i start to fix it.

might want to check for a faulty fuse or loose wire first

my s13 speedo does the same thing. i have checked and reconnected all of the cluster connections. when i tap on my cluster it seems to make it work or at least change it. i will be getting a new cluster from the wrecking yard i believe that is the problem
