blitz LM filter

Anybody seen any reviews or have any experience with the cone version of this filter? I have heard it is just as good as the Apex'i.

Nah... there are a couple filter tests online somewhere, and they all show Apex'i to be on top of that game.

yep

A'pexi owns.
K&N is 90% as good and much cheaper.

The Blitz metal filter is neat looking, but its performance per dollar doesn't stack up.

I have seen the comparos between filters that involved the Blitz SUS filter but not the new Blitz filter that is a dry paper element.

In the old tests, the Apex'i rocked everyone. I heard the new LM filter just copied the Apex'i design.

But.. that's a patent infringement, and I doubt it would be an exact copy.

As far as filtering Apexi does great, K&N does ok, and the others aren't too good. As far as Flow, Apexi is just a touch better than K&N and the rest.

But the tests I've seen doesn't include the new Blitz paper LM

Jeff - I do quite a bit of intellectual property in my line of work - trust me, stuff get copied all the time. You are right, you can't just clone someones product (I was oversimplifying) but every patent can be somewhat penetrated.

The blitz LM filter isn't metal like the SUS filter is. As for HKS, if you want a lot of dust to get through, then be my guest and use it. The air flow on the HKS is amazing, but the filtration on it blows, oh and you have to keep replacing the sponge too. The same thing goes for the Blitz SUS filter. The filtration on the filter isn't the greatest, but good air flow. I'd rather go with the Apexi or K&N.

basically the blitz LM is similar to the apex filter, but like the apex-i when it gets dirty you can trash the filter or wash it out. The reason that i think it doesnt infringe is because if u look at the material its more woven then foam like (apex-i) and also it doesnt have the same style top inlet like the apex. From what i heard from phase2 ( a dealer of the filter) the LM works as good as the apex and its a good alternative to the often sold out apex-i filter.

personally i use both the apex-i filter and HKS.

hm.. i thought the blitz sus last a long time. they claim you can just clean it and reuse it on phase2's site and considering its made of stainless steel, that sounds reasonable. supposedly, it last a lifetime, but that's what they say about clutches too. lifetime warranty bs. stainless steel just doesn't wear out as easily as paper. however, i guess i'll stay away from it since ppl say it sucks compared to the apexi filter. dang. i gotta search for some dyno sheets.

what other good filters are there?
