s14 Need help on installing spring

I was in the process of installing the rear lower springs, but i am having a hard time to lock the top nut. In fact, i accidently striped the retangle shape rod in the middle (the thing that stick out from the nut). what should i do? IS there a special tool to secure the rod?

Thanks

I used a very special tool.
"vice grips"
you can also use a crescent wrench but I prefer the vice grips.
if you stripped it already you are probably screwed, but one thing you can do is use a hacksaw to slot the top of it and use a standard screw driver.
also, if you were putting that much power on the nut to be spinning the shaft enough to strip it, you probably crossthreaded the nut. you need to compress the springs and there will be very little tension on that nut.
