Sloted Subframe Collars worth it ?

is it really worth it to get slotted subframe collars ?

i think it would be much easier to install for the fact that you dont have to totally take out the subframe. but for functionality do they do the same thing ?

are there any downsides to using slotted subframe collars ?

first off wrong section

Engine Tech Technical discussion related to all relevant engines such as KA, SR, RB, CA, 2JZ , and Lx series.

second depends how bad your stock rubbers are. sometimes the collars arent enough to fill in the gap

I installed the Peak Performance collars a few months ago... its worth it. Very easy to do, just make sure you jack up the body of the car and not the subframe. Do rears or fronts first, not right side or left side.

worth it, functionally the same as full rings but easier to install, the only con is more noise transmitted into the cabin - depends how much you can take and how agressive your diff is etc etc

there's also urethane rings

go solid mount or go home. collars are just a band aid.
