question about car audio (it seems like something is not right, please help)
The problem is: The sub doesn't hit hard nor loud at all. It's pretty damn low and not what I expected at all. If it goes somewhat loud(which is not much, can barely hear it with the front speakers on) then it gets muffled.
I just bought (1) 1200 watt sony xplod sub its 4ohms, 350rms I have a 1200 watt sony xplod amp stable at 4ohms, and gives 300rms I believe I had 10 guage power/ground wires, but I just upgraded to 4 guage(rated for 500watts rms) and nothing changed. Nothing is wrong with the amp, its perfectly fine, I had it running on 2 8" Rockford fosgates and they sounded perfectly fine. Speaker has to be good, I just bought it. What other factors could it be? ? ? Thanks in advance for any ideas, I'll really apreciate it cause I am totally stumped. P.S. I have a sony Xplod 50w by 4 headunit. I also don't have any underdrive pulleysand the electrical system is working fine.
