SR turbo shaft play

I pulled my blown motor about a month ago. I checked the turbo for shaft play and had none. no side to side, fore and aft nothing. Yesterday I started transfering parts from one motor to the other and checked again. Now I have a bit of play both ways ?????? Is this normal?

It sounds like you need to play with your shaft a bit more to get a better idea of what's going on with it.
