Boost Gauge Question!!!

Hi Guys (and girls);
I broke my boost gauge last week. That gauge had 1.5 Bar max.
Now, i just got my new replacement today and this one has 2 Bar Max. I've set mine at 0.8 Bar all the time. Now, this what i'm not sure. Would 0.8 bar on 1.5 Bar max same thing as in 2 Bar?? I mean i went out and test the new gauge today and i felt like i was close to hit 0.8 Bar limit but the new gauge only read 0.5-6 Bar. Perhaps i'm thinking too much. Can someone help me clarify this matter?? Thanks in advance. KenVT...

.8 bar should be .8 bar assuming it's functioning properly, it's not like a percentage or anything

My old gauge was funtioning properly. I didn't touch the vacuum tube at all. And my replacement is a brand new. Maybe i'm thinking too much. It's summer time, you know. No class no homework...Too much free time to think. Hope that's it. Thanks for your reply.
