Hey, I know Hotshot and Greddy make headers for the 95-98 240sx. I also know the Greddy is a short header but the Hotshot replaces the first cat and also sets OBD II off.  I reallly don't want to be riding around with my check engine light constantly on so I wanted to know how good is the Greddy header...anybody have it? Are there any dyno's of the Hotshot and the Greddy?

Is there an O2 sensor before and after the cats? Or just one O2 sensor?

O.K. then you need a 02 MILL device then. Its a few resistors and a capasitor that tells the ECU every thing is fine. This is what the Domestic world gets when they use Off road Exhaust.
I'll try to find the tech article for you.
How soon till you buy a header?

Well I am currently working a LOUSY part time job but I might have landed a new job by the end of the week that's at least 30 hours a week...so I am hoping to be buying a header within a month's time if all goes as planned. I appreciate your help on this!

Found this article on the greddy header. I think all of us should read it! They put on a GREDDY MX catabck, GREDDY header, and GREDDY airnix. Dynoed a stock 240SX with 30kmi. on the clock, got 129hp/144.2tq. Added those 3 parts and got 10.4hp!! what a crock! $1000.00 dollars for 10.4hp. I pray to God that their DYNO wsa misaligned or something. They noted that the header was good for 4hp. Either these guys are off their nut, or the GREDDY header is trash!

See for your self.
I personally am going with a HOT SHOT/Injin CAI, and APEXI DN1, then I'll add ECU and some timing advance. If I don't go this route I'll slap on a FMAX turbo kit.
Geeeez.

10 rwhp w/ cai/header/exhaust is typical   you really believe in 15+ hp for cai  10+ hp headers and 10+ exhaust = 35+ hp! ya right!!  the numbers i juss made up and there not actuall but thats what companies basically claim thier product to output   ya F***IN right!!!
10 RHWP is decent for those mods and with an ecu that will maybe bring ya into 15+ hp range ... but trust me you'll feel it!

Yeah, a lot of their claims are pretty false but in this case 10HP is still a little on the low side. I've seen a dyno before of the 5Zigen Fireball exhaust getting like 10HP itself....excluding header and intake. It's all in the bends of the pipe and how straight it is coming from the cat-back.

I have a Greddy header and i am very impressed with the fit and finish(polished stainless steel).  But performance wise... its not what i expected it being Greddy and all.  There is some mid-range umph you can definitely feel but top-end is pretty much the same, maybe a little better.
