speed limiter or rev limiter (advance question) ???

ok
i cut the wire 8th wire at the ecu which is the speed limiter

then i disconnect the 4th and 5th gear sensor under the transmission which is the second and 3rd wire under the car

but i still face the fuel cut problem whenever i reach 120mph ++


why ? please help

btw my car is a 1991 fastback se

Maybe you cut the wrong wire. I think your speedo should stop working if you take the limiter off, not sure though. To test, put your car in 5th gear and with the clutch depressed step on the gas, if it goes past 5500 or so i think the limiter is disabled.

well my speedo is still working . . .
and i think i cut the right wire because i read through the tutorial many time and i confirm that there is no other wire with that kind of color

for the 5th sensor i will try it later

ok let me dispel some rumors here. I have a switch wired into my speed sensor wire ( the wire you refered to from the tutorial) and I leave my speed limiter off. The speedo still works just fine. This method of removing the speed limiter does indeed work, but there is still a rev limiter for 4th and 5th gear (4th gear is six thousand something and 5th gear is around 5200 rpm). So this limits you to around 125ish. Plenty fast for me but some people disconnect their tranny sensors as well . . . or so I'm told.

It sounds like the speed sensor wire has been takin care of. There may still be some issues with the tranny sensors. I would double check everything on that end.

i am pretty sure i took care of the tranny sensor
i unplug the 2nd and 3rd connector under the tranny

my car is a 240sx se 1991 fastback 5 speed

does this makes any difference ???
