89' KA24E Shaking & noise

I've heard of the infamous rod knock, but my engine and the entire car(due to the engine) shakes wayyy to much. I don't think it's the engine mounts since it started shaking while my bro was revving the engine today. He didn't over rev it, but he was revving it because there was a minimal amount of smoke coming out of the rear part of the area where the valve cover is and the header, and there was also a wet spot on that area of the header. Also, when I turned off the car Yesterday and Today, I heard a hissing sound - vacuum leak? Anyways, before today, the only problem was that the car bogged too much and it had a slight delay when pressing the gas pedal(would take a while for the rpms to rise). While revving the engine, it sounded like something broke inside and looked like an out of control washer machine the way it was shaking. I backed up the car and without even pressing the gas, the whole car shakes ridiculously. Also, early in the morning today, before the engine began to shake and make the ticking noise, the delay between the gas pedal and the engine grew, every time i looked at the dash board when pressing the gas pedal, the rpms would go almost to 0 and the engine sounded like it had died but then it would turn on and respond again. Very weird. The engine was recently rebuilt(~1 month ago) so I do have a guarantee from the mechanic but his shop isn't open until Tuesday.

it could be one or more injectors making the car shake, your cylinders are lacking of fuel so your not running effeciently

i had the same problem wasn't as bad as you're making it sound like yours is though... had my mechanic replace a fuel injector and the problem was fixed.

Check ecu for codes, do a power balance test, check for vac leaks, then check timing!

leaking radiator hose. i'm angry because at all times i checked the dashboard and the needle would always be at cold or in the middle. even when the engine shut off on me, the needle never went to hot. now it's going to come out of my pocket. anyone have any idea as to why the the sensor didn't work? my mechanic says it was because it had already run out of water. btw, i never saw it leak any water onto my driveway. oh and is it bad that there was oil leaking from the valve cover? oil was causing the wet spot on the header. thanks.

anyone have an idea as to why the temp gauge wasn't working properly? when starting the car, it would be at cold, and when driving, it would be in the middle, it never marked hot, not even when it shut down. also, i never saw any steam/smoke, only some minor smoke rising from the oil leak on the valve cover. the mechanic hasn't called me since tuesday, so i don't know how damaged the engine is, but my guess is it's done. it was pinging already and i ran it like that.
